PALADAR

New name for The Unnamed Pop Up

Welcome to PALADAR

A Brand New Pop Up Restaurant in North Wiltshire

Delicious food in a gregarious atmosphere

What's it all about?

"Pop Up or underground restaurants, also called supper clubs are temporary. These restaurants often operate from a private home."

The  Pop Up Restaurant is not new and they are popular in Latin America, where they're known as either a paladar or a restaurante de puertas cerradas (closed door restaurant). It offers excellent food in the informal setting of a private home.

Why PALADAR?

As above PALADAR is what Pop-Up resaurants are called in Latin America and Cuba. Literally paladar translates from Spanish as palete - which is pretty good as we aim to server delicious food that is perfect on the palete. We started as The Unnamed PopUp and had a competition to help choose the name and of all the great entries we like this the best, our thanks to Jess and Jen who came up with it, and Jen for the fantastic artwork that is in progress.

Who?

Chris and Camilla are a Father and Daughter team who will be your chefs and hosts for the evening.

"The idea of a pop up restaurant had always excited us and seemed a great way to develop our love of food, cooking and people. We just decided to take the plunge and take our skills and experience to a wider audience"

Camilla: I wish I was a chef but unfortunately accountancy pays the bills! I have been interested in cooking from a young age and love to entertain friends and family with fantastic food. I like to experiment and try new things and as a vegetarian I will do my best to look after veggie diners.

Chris: I have always had a love of preparing and eating good food. I have traveled extensively and have always tried different cuisine. I tend to cook with creativity and flair and not always exactly following a recipe.

Interesting Fact: Chris & Camilla are both highly skilled in Therapeutic Massage
